At first Joaquin Phoenix wanted to follow in late brother River’s footsteps and be a great actor which he no doubt was on the way to achieving, but after a run in with Johnny Cash, well at least portraying him in Walk the Line Joaquin has decided in his wisdom to give up his acting career and become a full time musician.

Joaquin played the guitar and sang in his movie musical debut and has somehow decided that music is now his calling.

In an act that is completely out of character, Joaquin made an appearance at the premiere of his final film “Two Lovers” this past weekend and announced to the waiting media whom Phoenix has always despised, that his movie career is over and his music career is on.

To prove that he is dead serious Phoenix wrote ”Bye! Good” on his knuckles, grew a beard, dressed like a pig, forgot to comb his hair and packed on the pounds to show a solidarity with another great musician John Lennon, yes Joaquin managed to look freakishly like the brilliant Beatle or an unshaven bushman.

We wish you all the luck in the world Joaquin but you may have a problem writing your songs because you got “Good Bye!” backwards.

Lets hope Joaquin does not become a washed up, drug addicted, hippie, mu-so, with a message for world peace and a coke snorting death wish.
